The dates of annual leave should be specified by the employer after consulting with the employee (or their representative). The employer must notify the employee of the dates of annual leave in writing at least 14 days before the start of the leave; a shorter notice period may be given if both parties agree.
All employees are entitled to the aforementioned statutory holidays. If a statutory holiday falls on an employee's rest day, the employee shall take a compensatory day off on the following day. This compensatory day off must not be a statutory holiday, a separately designated holiday, a substitute holiday, or a rest day. If an employee has been employed under a continuous contract for three months or more, they are entitled to holiday pay, the amount of which is equivalent to the employee's average daily wage for the 12 months preceding the holiday.
Domestic Helper Insurance According to Hong Kong government regulations, employers are required to purchase workers' insurance for their domestic helpers on the day of their arrival in Hong Kong. It is also recommended that employers purchase medical insurance for their domestic helpers, ensuring they receive free medical care during their employment period, including payment for outpatient, inpatient, and dental care, providing peace of mind. Work Location The work location is limited to the address specified in the contract between the employer and the domestic helper.
