How many paid annual leaves does a domestic helper entitle to have?
The dates of annual leave should be specified by the employer after consulting with the employee (or their representative). The employer must notify the employee of the dates of annual leave in writing at least 14 days before the start of the leave; a shorter notice period may be given if both parties agree.
Statutory holidays in 2026
All employees are entitled to the aforementioned statutory holidays. If a statutory holiday falls on an employee's rest day, the employee shall take a compensatory day off on the following day. This compensatory day off must not be a statutory holiday, a separately designated holiday, a substitute holiday, or a rest day. If an employee has been employed under a continuous contract for three months or more, they are entitled to holiday pay, the amount of which is equivalent to the employee's average daily wage for the 12 months preceding the holiday.
Employer responsibility, application requirements
Domestic Helper Insurance According to Hong Kong government regulations, employers are required to purchase workers' insurance for their domestic helpers on the day of their arrival in Hong Kong. It is also recommended that employers purchase medical insurance for their domestic helpers, ensuring they receive free medical care during their employment period, including payment for outpatient, inpatient, and dental care, providing peace of mind. Work Location The work location is limited to the address specified in the contract between the employer and the domestic helper.
Personally selects and rigorously trains maids
Our company sends specialists overseas each month to personally select domestic helpers. All selected helpers must undergo rigorous Hong Kong-style professional training, including: Home care, cleaning, and cooking training. Infant and elderly care and hygiene knowledge. Basic Cantonese instruction. Instilling proper work ethic and learning Hong Kong family life habits.
Full-cycle follow-up service
We provide 24/7 follow-up service to ensure clients receive comprehensive support after hiring a domestic helper. We will regularly call clients to follow up on the helper's work performance and provide translation and coaching services. If needed, we can provide additional training for the helper. Employers are welcome to contact us with any employment issues or questions regarding labor laws. Other Services: We handle all application procedures, including consular contracts and entry visas. Services include: Renewal and transfer of local domestic helper contracts; Arrangements for designated domestic helpers to come to Hong Kong; Medical examinations for domestic helpers upon arrival in Hong Kong, including: HIV, Hepatitis B, syphilis, pregnancy test, stool routine, and lung X-ray; Insurance for Hong Kong domestic helpers and domestic helpers; Airfare and tourist visas for domestic helpers from various destinations; Hong Kong identity card application and consular registration assistance.
Local Finished Contract Helpers
To meet the urgent needs of some employers, we have a large pool of domestic helpers available for immediate appointment. All of them have completed employment contracts of two years or more. We also provide hourly Hong Kong domestic helpers and confinement nannies. They all possess certificates issued by the Employment Retraining Council and have extensive work experience. Part-time, temporary, or contract positions are all available. Interested parties can arrange immediate interviews during office hours.
Overseas Philippines and Indonesia helpers
Our company specializes in domestic helpers from the Philippines and Indonesia, with experience working in Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, and other overseas locations. They are all honest, reliable, communicative, and possess a passionate work ethic. All domestic helpers have detailed personal information, including education, work experience, family situation, health certificate, personal skills, photos, identification documents, and interview videos, for employers to select from.
